Yard of the Month - August 2022

Congratulations Dale & Mary Reed, 10221 Pawnee Court.

Dale and Mary have lived in The Park for nine years and have a beautiful location for their yard. They back up to the wildlife area North of the soccer field. They get to experience deer, opossums and racoons wandering through their yard. The deer have munched some of the flowers in the front yard but fortunately the plants have recovered. Dale said one pot of plants had to be replanted this Spring. The birds enjoy their feeder and they let whatever seed falls on the ground to sprout and grow. They have some volunteer sorghum growing now which is putting on seed and will in turn provide the birds with food.

Both Mary and Dale have retired. Mary now works part time as a Birth Doula. She assists expectant mothers in childbirth and newborn care. Dale is retired from Vulcan Chemical. You will find both Dale and Mary willing volunteers on Park committees and Spring clean-up days.
